Consent Culture & Zero Tolerance at Starwood

🛡️ Our Commitment to Safety & Respect

The Rosencomet Project and Starwood Festival are grounded in values of community, autonomy, and mutual respect. We are committed to cultivating a space where all participants feel safe, seen, and empowered. Our Zero Tolerance Policy for violence, sexual assault, and abuse is a cornerstone of this commitment.

Violations of consent—physical, emotional, verbal, or spiritual—will result in immediate and permanent removal from the event. This includes actions or behaviors that ignore, override, or manipulate boundaries.

✋🏽 What Is Consent Culture?

Consent culture means that respect for personal autonomy is expected at all times. This extends to physical touch, photography, conversations, energy work, and sacred/spiritual interactions.

At Starwood, “no” means no — and so does silence, hesitation, or an unclear response. Consent must be:
  •    Freely given
  •    Reversible
  •    Informed
  •    Enthusiastic
  •    Specific

(aka the FRIES model — a helpful tool for understanding consent.)

🔥 Consent Applies To:
  •    Physical touch (including hugs, dancing, cuddling, etc.)
  •    Sexual interactions of any kind
  •    Participation in rituals, workshops, or ceremonies
  •    Sharing consumables of any kind
  •    Taking or sharing photos or videos
  •    Use of another’s property, campsite, or gear
  •    Energy work, spiritual connection, and healing modalities

🌈 Our Zero Tolerance Policy Means:
  •    We take all reports seriously.
  •    We respond swiftly and confidentially.
  •    Violators will be removed from the event without refund or re-entry.
  •    No exceptions — no matter who you are or your past contributions.

If you experience or witness a violation, please report it to:
  •    Any Rosencomet Project Board Member
  •    Any General Rosencomet Member
  •    Safety Manager / NightBoss
