 Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini Yoga has been called the Yoga of Awareness. This workshop takes the individual on an experience of Kundalini Yoga via participation in a ‘kriya’: a prescribed set of exercises, asana, meditation, mantra and breath patterns designed to awaken and radiate the dormant spiritual power that lies within us. Also included in the experience is a sound-healing session via the use of a 34” poly-symphonic gong, which balances the sympathetic and para-sympathetic nervous systems and induces a state of spontaneous meditation.

Burning the Box
This workshop releases the ties that bind, so to speak... We will break through our calcified self-images to unveil the inner being in all its playful and prayer-ful glory, in safe company of others that are revealed to be just that – other versions of one’s Self. This is achieved via synergistic exploration of healing and expressive modalities such as Yoga, pantomime, energy-feedback, authentic movement, sound healing, and sound circles. Breathe. Flow. Vizualize. Animate. Rejoice.

A Little Conversation about Fear and Shame

This workshop invites participants to identify how shame and fear operate, what they do to our spiritual practices, and how we can heal. Larry Brown
Lawrence Diehl Brown is a novelist, astronomer, and musician. He attended The Ohio State University where he received a B.A. in English Literature. His studies included Honors history, Astronomy, and Early Music. He is an ordained Shamanic Priest through the Lineage of Gary Stamper and the Venus Rising Institute for Shamanic Healing Arts in Asheville North Carolina. He was formally initiated into the Mankind Project in 2008, and staffed an MKP Initiation weekend in October 0f 2012. He has lectured and taught astronomy classes.  Larry leads an elder group in his home. The group combines experiential with cognitive processes to explore ways that men over fifty can give back to younger men with the goal of creating a safer world. He is an experienced group leader, lecturer, and teacher.

He builds and uses his own telescopes and eyepieces. He is an avid writer and contributor to scientific journals, and an active member of the Cincinnati Observatory in Mt. Lookout. After college, he lived for a short time in Istanbul, Turkey where he explored ancient ruins and developed an interest in the astronomy and astrology of ancient civilizations. He travels widely exploring ancient astronomical sites in England,  Europe, and Central America and the Caribbean.
He has discovered that astronomy is a profound source of spirituality. As an example, one of his favorite pastimes is "sidewalk astronomy" where he sets up his telescope in a local neighborhood to allow passers-by to view the moon, the planets, comets, star clusters, and any other bright objects visible from urban sites. He loves to see the expression on a viewer's face when it's the first time they've ever looked through a telescope and they fall headlong into a crater on the moon, or soar by the moons of Jupiter, knowing that their perception of their place in the Cosmos is changed forever! It is an expansion of the mind; it is a different perspective on reality. Observing light that left a galaxy 20 million years ago, astronomers know that the past or future is only an illusion.
Published works include his novel FLARE which is currently selling well on Amazon. FLARE is a science-based thriller incorporating ancient and modern astronomy.

  Astronomy
I will bring a professional telescope mounted on a tripod to view the heavens. I will focus on what can be observed and identified in the night sky. During the day we will observe sunspots with a professional solar filter on the scope. In the classes I will also touch on the connection between modern Astronomy and ancient Astrology (at one time they were one and the same), and the ways in which Astronomy has expanded our consciousness, both in historical as well as modern times. I believe that Astronomy is opening the way to a new form of human spirituality. Based on my studies of evolutionary connectedness to a changing and growing universe, this new spirituality, if fully realized, will transcend ancient ideas of a supernatural creator and create in each individual an expanded consciousness.

Invocation, Conjuring & Summoning; Principles Of A Pagan Spirit Art
It has become fashionable to discuss magic as the use of ‘occult energies’, but much of traditional magic depends on conjuring and making alliances and deals (i.e. ‘pacts’) with spirits. • Daemons and Demons – Who are the spirits?
• A Pantheon of my Own – Becoming the priest-magician of your own temple.

Into the Unconscious Mind
The human sensory apparatus is, by it’s very nature, limited. We usually experience only in a very narrow band of visible light, audible sound, tactile sensations, tastes and smells. But the world is so much greater and most of it remains hidden to our conscious awareness. Parts of our consciousness, however, remain in contact with everything else in the universe, and our minds, properly directed, can explore and extrapolate incredible experiences and information. Relax and enjoy this guided meditation in which Phil will take us into an expanded experience of reality, both conscious and unconscious.
   Laughing Magick
While some occultists take themselves very seriously, some of us know that laughter is one of the most useful altered states and, perhaps, an oft-ignored key to magick. Laughing feels great, is one of humanity’s most important social cues, oxygenates your brain, opens your mind, improves your immune system, alleviates stress, and beats the hell out of whining. Feel free to giggle, guffaw, chortle, and snort as Phil attempts to keep a straight face while discussing this seriously important topic.

The Magickal Novel
Weaving real magick and occultism into your fiction
Everyone’s familiar with the array of “how to” books on magick and modern Paganism that are available today. And yet, most are not aware that the first modern book written by a real Witch wasn’t a manual, but a novel! In the years before and since “High Magic’s Aid” was written by Gerald Gardner (under the pen name of ‘Scire’), many authors have chosen to share their occultism through creative fiction instead of dry instruction. In this workshop, Taliesin will share a brief history of real occultism in fiction, as well as how to spice up one’s own writing with real occultism. Writers are welcome (and encouraged) to bring their own questions and ideas to a group discussion at the end.

Publishing for Pagans
Most people walking Pagan and other magickal paths came to their practice via the written word. Whether book or blog, it was the work of writers who opened our minds to possibilities beyond mundane reality. It goes to follow, then, that those inspired by words may wish to become writers themselves. But how to do it? Traditional publishing? Self publishing? There are pluses and minuses to both. In this workshop, Taliesin will go over the myriad of ways that modern Pagan authors have to bring their works to the public, as well as tips for finding success no matter which path you choose. Bring a notebook.

Genevieve Houck
Genevieve is a massage therapist and songstress who grew up with a physical therapist for a mother. A host of spinal injuries and trading the subtle bodywork therapies from a young age with her mother led her to delve deep into the world of self care. Her self-massage teaching practice ‘Aware Self Care’ developed from years of Iyengar yoga, Pilates reformer, mantra meditation, self massage and trading massage. These therapies have helped Genevieve spiral out of intense daily chronic pain she sustained from 3 major spinal injuries. Genevieve has also had vocal performance training for over 12 years, which lends to her skills in guiding people to find where their voice is most resonant. With a photographic memory from a young age, Genevieve has a treasure trove of chants memorized from many walks, groups, practices, and loves to them teach you! Song Circle for the People is a song circle Genevieve facilitates in Pittsburgh PA and around the country, in which community gathers to sing songs together around the fire, with a focus on chants—short repeating songs that get the flow flowing. Mixing chant with freestyle flow is a beautiful technology that has emerged from years of circling.

 Aware Self Care
‘Feel into the three points of gravity in your feet—the big toe ball mound, the pinkie ball mound, and the heel of the foot. Each point of gravity equally pressing into the earth. Quads firm against the bone, knees soft, shoulders rolled back and down along the spine, palms floating out in anatomical position. Occipital ridge floating up towards the sky, back of the neck elongating towards the stars as our feet press into this beautiful earth. Tadasana. Standing tall like a mountain, feeling the weight of the earth and the lightness of the air give space between each vertebrae.’ Join me in this exploration of self, where we feel into our problem areas, areas we lack range of motion, and we give our bodies the movement and self massage they are asking for. We shall work on Iyengar yoga alignment cues to first get the awareness of structural support in our movements, and then we will explore the world of myofascial unwinding. With time, attention, and allowance for whatever may happen to happen, our bodies know how to unwind us out of chronic pain. We shall practice unwinding ourselves to the liquid music of Dixon’s Violin, and then get down onto the mat with specialty massage tools that will be provided to work out problem trigger points. Come learn how common postural -isms could be contributing to your pain body, and many tools to unwind it from your being. We are the ones we have been waiting for. Let’s delve deep into this intimate work of the body, through which all other selves alchemize. Bring a mat, a cushion or bolster if you have one, and yoga blocks and straps if you have them. Extras will be available at class.

Song Circle for the People
Join us around the fire for a late night song circle, where we shall learn many English chants —short repeating songs with strong true messages that soothe the soul and strengthen intent. Join us as we play with our voices, from the back of our throats to the front—to find that true resonant space where it feels effortless and flowing. Join us honoring the sacred fire, fueling the flames with our song. We shall sing and see where the flow takes us—mixing song with freestyle flow, focusing on vocal harmonies,or singing in sweet simplicity—all are possible within the deep listening space created at Song Circle for the People.

A Discussion of Racism and Cultural Appropriation
Join Phat Man Dee and Alicia Lynn for a conversation on racism and cultural appropriation in the pan spiritual community. There is a difference between cultural exchange and appropriation. Learn the difference between appreciating and respecting aspects of culture that are not of your own heritage, and just outright thievery. We live in a beautiful community of people who regularly practice religions, music, dance, and cuisine not of our own ethnic and cultural backgrounds, lets have a conversation on how to respect and support the people whose cultures created the things we love so much. A big part of this conversation is the discussion of white supremacy and what we must do to end it in our immediate communities.

Part I: Chaos Magick in Theory and Practice
Creating the reality around you can be a lot of work. Often the simplest solution is a magickal one. This discussion is a broad overview of the Chaos Magick paradigm, with a focus on sigil spellcraft. The theories and methods of several modern and classical occultists and pantheons will be explored. Participants will be encouraged to tie these into current practices. We will examine the practices and exercises that will strengthen the necessary skill sets of gnosis and banishing for effective spellcraft. Sigil magick will be discussed in terms of intent, desire, will, and the five conjurations: invocation, evocation, enchantment, divination, and illumination.  Attendees will define an intent and draw their own sigil, learning what is often referred to as the cheat codes of magick.
Part II: Entities, Deities, and Servitors
Let’s expand on the concepts of  crafting reality by the will of the Magician in the context of modern Chaos Magick! Sometimes the Magician must seek assistance. Whether it is the wisdom of John Lennon, the benevolence of BARASHAKUSHU, or the Dyonessain ability to throw a killer party, there is a long magickal tradition of seeking the favor and help of entities to obtain our goals.  We will explore how to find angels, demons, saints, gods, goddesses, and popular icons that resonate with the Magician and their intent. Participants will also learn how to craft their own entities, or servitors, using traits from well known archetypes. This discussion can be particularly productive for the atheist Magician who feels uncomfortable working with entities.
